Michael Welch was selected as #1 Male Rising Star for 2009 by TC Kirkham at Popcorn N Roses and on the podcast Subject:CINEMA. The podcast aired July 4 and the list is now posted. It's in ABC order so you have to scroll down a bit. Everyone on the list is terrific, so it's quite an honor they picked Michael as their #1.

Michael Accepts his Rising Star Award

Michael is starring in and currently shooting Unrequited, a psychological teen thriller, directed by Jason Epperson. Epperson was runner-up on the Fox reality series On The Lot, executive produced by Stephen Speilberg. The film is shooting in Kentucky and has quite a buzz around it.

Behind the Scenes: The First Week

Mike was still able to attend Twilight Vampire Baseball™ on July 4th in Portland, Oregon (to benefit the Make-a-Wish® Foundation of Oregon). He had an incredible time!!

Mike had a blast filming NEW MOON. He is really looking forward to the release.
