Thirst Project Event-Rubix Hollywood

On March 01, 2012, the Rubix Hollywood and Twilight star Michael Welch will be hosting a fundraiser for The Thirst Project.

The Thirst Project is a local non-profit organization that raises awareness on the World Water Crisis and builds freshwater wells in developing counties.

We’d love for everyone to come out and support this amazing cause. There is no cost to attend the event, but donation are encouraged. We will be serving delicious Mexican food and specialty cocktails from Lunazul. The details about the upcoming star-studded shindig are listed below. Happy New Year to one and all! Michael will start shooting Hansel & Gretel & The 420 Witch in the beginning of January. He’s very excited about this project. It’s a great script and he is happy to be doing a comedy again. Have a safe and happy new year!

Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel & The 420 Witch

With Paramount wrapping its Jeremy Renner-starrer “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters,” a trio of indie companies is prepping an alternate take on the Grimm brothers’ classic fairy tale, titled Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel & The 420 Witch.
Duane Journey will direct from David Tillman’s script, which concerns a witch living in Pasadena who lures teens into her house with a special blend of marijuana so she can eat them in order to maintain her youth.

Michael will be playing Hansel and “Castle” star Molly Quinn will play Gretel, while Lara Flynn Boyle (“Men in Black II”) will play the sinister witch.
